Wilma-Emilia Kuosa’s works embrace broken souls. Wilma-Emilia is a freelance choreographer, singing dancer, actress, dance teacher and poet from Helsinki. She has studied jazz dance in France, achieving the qualifications of both a dancer and a dance teacher with a major in jazz dance. In the spring of 2022, Wilma-Emilia graduated from the Department of Dance at the University of Nice with a Bachelor of Performing Arts, majoring in dance.

Kuosa’s debut poetry novel, Anatomy of a Titanium Heart, was published in 2020 by Basam Books. Its sequel, Cage Opera, was published in autumn 2022 at the same time as the stage work based on the book of the same name in KokoTeatteri’s autumn 2022 program. Cage Opera, a poetry novel, and a stage work are going on tour after a performance season that gathered a lot of audience.

Wilma-Emilia is interested in interdisciplinary collaboration, both as a choreographer and as a performer. Breaking borders between different subjects and fields of art ignites Wilma-Emilia. In recent years, she has worked extensively on a variety of projects internationally, varying in roles between choreographer, dancer, singer, actress, poet and dance teacher. Wilma-Emilia is fully trilingual (Finnish, French and English).
